Kassie DePaiva (born Katherine Virgin Wesley March 21, 1961 in Morganfield, Kentucky) is an American soap opera actress and singer. She was credited prior to 1996 as Kassie Wesley.

Career[]

Most notable for her role as Bobby Jo in the cult film, Evil Dead II, DePaiva began her career at 18 as a solo artist at the Grand Ole Opry. After her stint in Nashville, she attended both Indiana University and University of California, Los Angeles, studying theatre, dropping out before graduation to entertain USO troops in Asia. DePaiva made her debut in daytime originating the role of Chelsea Reardon on Guiding Light (October 1986-January 1991). On Monday, November 29, 1993, she began portraying her most notable role, the part of Blair Daimler Cramer on One Life to Live, formerly portrayed by half-Asian actress, Mia Korf. She first appeared onscreen Friday, December 17, 1993 and was with OLTL for nearly 19 years until the series was canceled. DePaiva's pairing with Roger Howarth's (and later Trevor St. John's) Todd Manning struck with viewers and the two became a supercouple. DePaiva is said to be working with legendary Supremes songstress Diana Ross on a duet for DePaiva's upcoming album – her first for Diana's label Angel/EMI/Manhattan. Former soap star and daughter of Ross Rhonda will produce. In 2012, she reprised her role of Blair for several guest stints on ABC's daytime soap General Hospital.

Personal life[]

DePaiva is married to fellow One Life to Live actor James DePaiva. The two have one son, James Quentin DePaiva (b. May 12, 1997)
